I have been loving doing little projects here and there throughout the year lately and so when I heard about the “100 Days of Looking Up” that Illustrated Faith is doing, I just knew I wanted to be a part of it.
I got the 100 Days of Looking Up kit and decided to just place all of my cards in this little wooden box that I had. I am thinking about making more cards in the future or even purchasing the digital kit and printing more and doing another 100 Days project in the future since there will be room in this box, but for now, I decided to do 100 Days of Looking Up by spending the next 100 days reading through the Book of Psalms.
I love the Book of Psalms and I think it’s always a great reminder of God’s character and not only that, but you can see King David walk through so many different highs + lows in his life and it’s a reminder that life is difficult at times, but life is also wonderful at times. The Book of Psalms are great to go to when you need encouragement and also when you aren’t really sure what to pray – you can pray a Psalm to the Lord. I just love how Psalms reminds us of God’s work. There is lamentation & sorrow, but there is also praise and thanksgiving.
So for the next 100 days I will read a Psalm (sometimes 2 or 3) and decided to do a little bit of watercoloring in each jar (I’m definitely not a pro when it comes to watercoloring, so I’m just going to have fun with it) and then I am going to type a little something with my typewriter – like a takeaway or theme from that Psalm or Psalms and place it in the jar.
I’m really looking forward to this 100 day journey and will be setting my eyes on things above! I’d love for you to join in! You can make this project whatever you’d like!
Check out Shanna’s Instagram HERE and you can see how she’s doing the project. Be sure to check out Illustrated Faith HERE to snag the physical kit and HERE to snag the digital kit!
I love creative projects that continue to get me into God’s Word and bring so much joy into my life! Praying you are working on something like that too, friend! If not, think about what you might like to do and then do that! It’ll fill you up and bless you!
I’ll be sure to share here and there how it’s coming along in the next 100 days! XO!
